Company History

The Fox Inspections Group was founded in 1989 by Gordon and Leslie Fox. From its humble beginning as a single inspector company, it has expanded over the years and now is comprised of multiple inspectors and office staff.

The success of this company is due mainly to following a simple philosophy about real estate: we put ourselves in the home buyers’ shoes and treat them like family. Because we adhere to this policy at all times the majority of our clients are past clients, their family members, close friends, or associates of theirs. Many of our clients are Realtors, their family, or close friends.

Letter from the President

Fox Inspection Group has been in business since 1989. Beginning with only one associate, myself, it has grown over the years and will continue to grow. We now have eleven full time Professional Home Inspectors, our main office in Houston and a satellite office in Austin, and three full time office staff personnel.

Fox Inspection Group (FIG) provides thorough home inspections for prospective home buyers, making them aware of potential problems with the property prior to purchase of such property. Other services include: home inspections for home owners prior to selling, following natural disasters (such as Hurricane Ike), just before the end of the first year in a newly built home, and anytime someone has a question about their home.

FIG now offers Thermal Imaging inspections, Stucco forensic and non-forensic inspections, and Elevation Surveys of homes. We have a small contingent of inspectors who have qualified to perform commercial inspections, as well. We will soon offer WDI (Wood Destroying Insect) inspections.

We are proud of the efforts we make to protect our clients. Unlike many other inspection companies, we form a fiduciary relationship with our clients, placing the client’s needs above our own. We provide our clients with a personal walk through of the property at the end of the inspection, follow up with a written / e-mailed report with digital photographs as well as superior office / support staff.
